Cheyenne’s Journey

Cheyenne along with her two Brothers, Toby and Spirit, came into my life when I lived in Iowa. Their Mom was killed when they were very young kittens. I hand raised them by bottle feeding and eventually getting them onto solid food. I stimulated urination and bowel movements by wiping their genitalia with a warm, moist cloth. In a very short period of time my dog named Dakota offered to lick them instead which is what their Mom would have done with them. I would feed them then put them down for her to do her job.

Tabitha

The morning after Sabrina passed I was lying in bed with my cat Spirit and grieving intensely. I could also sense his sadness and concern about being the only cat. Nitika would sometimes go with me in my truck and that meant Spirit was left on his own which he was really not thrilled about at all.

I let Spirit know that I was open to having another cat if he so wished as well. He showed me a colourful cat and spoke of Sissy Morgan (another one of my beloved cats that passed on May 10, 2015; article written about her on June 10, 2015).
